E-Story | Jen & Gavin

Some of you might remember the "Engagement Story Your Way" contest we had back in April of this year... well good things come to those who wait as we've got a FANTASTIC Mad Men themed engagement session to share with you!

I thought I'd start off with one of my favourites from this session:

Jen & Gavin won this contest with a whooping 770 votes! Their contemporary twist on a classic look came through some fun, fresh and creative images. Jen looked fantastic, with a stunning hair-do and 60's style make-up, and Gavin pulled off his suit effortlessly all and all it was a great time!

We were lucky enough to score a great location for this session: The Paddock is located at Bathurst & Spadina and was the perfect setting for our shoot. And, if you haven't already done so, you should totally go by this place for cocktails (they make a killer martini) and some scrumptious food!

For those of you who aren't familiar with the show, we were going for a classy, dramatic and solemn look - but of course, since this young couple is anything but an unhappy pair we through in a bit of their personality along the way - enjoy!

Jen & Gavin used to frequent The Paddock all the time when they lived in the area- this was 'their booth' so of course we had to feature it. Check out the way he looks at her:

We had to do a few fun shots in the financial district- they sort of have that Ad Agency feel:

Congratulations you too! Have a fantastic wedding down south, it was a blast to work with you for this themed shoot- it was a great idea and we're excited to be featuring it here on the blog! You may have pulled off the Donald & Betty character's well, but it's easy to see that you've got a lot of love for one another. All the best to you both!
