Aya & Oscar | 17.05.09

We started off with a beautiful ceremony at Victoria College Chapel at the University of Toronto where natural light & laughter filled the room. This couple was amazing- their excitement and love for each other coupled with their laid back attitude made for a spectacular day. The photo session at UofT was eventful, complete with a run-away veil that lodged itself up a tree! Aya laughed it off and Kurt along with the rest of the groomsmen came to the rescue with a giant make-shift veil-retriever! (see below)

Then it was off to the Distillery District to capture the newly wed couple in a more rustic setting. The light was beautiful and we had a great time roaming through the cobblestone pathways together and taking advantage of the sun.

Their stunning reception was at Panorama on the 51st floor of the Manulife Centre here in Toronto. The views were breathtaking, the food was amazing and the company was suburb. The MC's and wedding party had everyone in stitches throughout the whole night- it was a great group of friends with an amazing sense of humour.

There were lots of unique touches from the bright Gerber Daisy bouquets to the tiny crane drink tickets, a very well planned and photogenic event. We had a blast working with all of you, it's rare that you see a group of friends that are so close and so laid back! We couldn't help but laugh from behind our cameras during the speeches and toasts. Thanks for letting us share in your day- it was a real pleasure.

I absolutely love this quiet moment Trevor captured of two guests:

Ahhh... Troy and the Groomsmen come to the rescue after Aya's veil gets stuck up a gigantic tree:

The bridal party was a blast to work with, and check out how great the fushia accent looks with those black dresses:

Some of our favourite shots from The Distillery, we had beautiful light to work with:

There was amazing food and a great atmosphere at Panorama:

I LOVED these tiny paper cranes! Aya's engagement ring is so unique- the two designed it together and had it custom made:

It was a great reception with lots of laughter- a close group of family & friends and genuine smiles:

Here's to the newlyweds! :)
