Christina & Scott | 19.06.09
We hopped in the car bright and early and headed north to capture Christina & Scott's day in Bayfeild. The drive was beautiful and we couldn't help but enjoy it- rolling hills, farm land and some perfectly fitting country music streaming out of our car radio from a local station. It was a great drive and we arrived in the morning to meet up with a very excited bride and groom.
As usual the little one steals the show:

Christina greeted me with a huge hug and we started the day off on the right foot! There was a great sense of community and togetherness throughout the day- the ceremony was held at Egmondville United Church and the pastor was amazing. His service was filled with great details about the couple, their relationship, background and family. It was a perfect example of how having a personal history with your officiant can make a big difference- such a lovely ceremony. :)
Poor Scott was nursing a twisted ankle, but was a trouper throughout the day. We roamed around and a small nearby park which Christina's mom helps to fund raise for (another great local touch!). Afterward, we headed into town and to the couple's old stomping grounds and Harry's Bar where our couple first met!
We were lucky so far with the weather, but then the clouds started to roll in.. and we packed it in just in time! It was off to the reception at Bluewater Golf Course for some great food (mmm turkey!) and dancing. The music flowed and the everyone was having a great time on the dance floor- one of Christina's bridesmaids' Kati is actually an extremely talented singer! A few songs from her band, Quater Mile Lane, were featured by the DJ throughout the evening-perfect dancing tunes. Be sure to check them out, we left with a copy of their album New Direction and it's awesome.
From the personal ceremony to the warm reception, we had a great time working with the two of you, your family and friends. Congratulations on making it official and thanks again for choosing us to be a part of your ceremony.

A splash of colour...

Christina's dress was beautiful, I loved the contrast in materials:

Aren't these ties just awesome?

At Egmondville United Church where BOTH Christina & Scott's parents were married:

Roaming downtown with the new couple:

The colour was Tiffany Blue, and the fine crystal glasses were the perfect backdrop for this ring shot:

The reception was lovely, with heart-felt speeches and a great sense of closeness:

Cheers!

Christina & Scott, we had a great time working with you both, here's to a long and happy marriage!
