Myra & Chris | 27.09.09
These two are the most adorable match- witty, hilarious and full of love they are simply a fantastic couple!
This wedding packed with tradition, laughter, and best of all a whole lot of dancing! Trevor started out with Chris & the guys for some fantastic Greek traditions and live music- what a great way to kick off the celebrations. Myra was a little worried about the daunting clouds which were lining the sky but it turned out to be a beautiful day in the end.
Myra arrived in style with her dad in a white, 1954 Rolce Royce- a stunning, classy way to make an entrance. The ceremony was at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, a space riddled with stunning paintings, sculptures and icons. It was breathtaking, and such a pleasure to shoot in! Afterward we all headed over to Edwards Gardens for a few photos on the grounds with the Best Man and Maid of Honour- the clouds even parted for us a few times. :)
The reception was at Spirale and kicked off with cocktails and an absolutely DELICIOUS anti-pesto bar. MMM!! The best part, I have to say was the Saganaki which we were told was a must-try by our groom- man was he ever right! Why have I never had this before? It's essentially a combination of my three favourite things: carbs, cheese and a bit of liquor thrown in for taste. I have one word for this- yum! This set the tone for the reception and fueled the guests for the long night of dancing ahead.
It was such a lovely day - Trevor and I would like to thank you for choosing us to be a part of it. :) We had a wonderful time and wish you both nothing but the happiness & love we know is coming your way- all the best to you both!

It's tradition for the Bride to write the names of all the single ladies on the bottom of her shoe...who ever is first to rub off will be the next to wed!

Love this shot with Myras speech & engagement ring:

The day was filled with great traditions- Chris had a live band at the house in the morning to help with the festivities:

It's custom for the groom to be shaved at home before the ceremony:

The church and the ceremony were beautiful. Myra was accompanied by both her parents as she walked down the aisle:

Like I said, it was a stunning church...

I can't resist the little ones at weddings- they are so cute in their little suits & dresses. I love this shot Trev grabbed as everyone was on their way out of the church:

Another favourite of the newlyweds at Edwards Gardens:

Myra & Chris' first dance as man & wife:

Myra loved her cake...complete with bling!

No Greek wedding would be complete without some live music and dancing:

Traditions always bring people together and get everyone excited for the evening ahead - the Pig Dance was a crowd pleaser:

There was a slight set-back during the bouquet toss....

The Dance of the Drunken Man was a huge hit!

And, of course- the rings! :)
