Familiar Faces from the Past

Over the years we have worked with numerous videographers while documenting weddings, we see them doing some pretty weird stuff, but we never get a chance to see the finished product.

Through some random internet surfing on Larissa's part this afternoon, she stumbled on this video clip of a wedding we shot together a couple years ago. Well the cool part is there are a bunch of shots of us running around the background doing our thing and a close up of me and my cam.

Worth checkin' out. It's kind of cool seeing the shots they come up with (and the shots of us in action!) click the full-screen mode next to the Vimeo icon for a larger view:

2008 ~ Action Shosts!

Hi Everyone!

So I was browsing through our 2008 weddings pulling out some photos to update our portfolios with and every now and then I would stumble upon a photo of Larissa or myself shooting. Hence, our inspiration for this post "2008 Action Shots" (okay so there are a couple shots from 2007 in the mix too, but we didn't think you'd mind) :)

It's a fun look at us behind the camera- we tend to sneak shots of each other every once in a while, we've included our favourites. We both had a great time this season, and want to thank everyone for such a great year. We met a lot of awesome people and worked on a lot of fantastic shoots. It's been a blast! 2009 is shaping up to be a busy season, we're looking forward to working with all our new clients and pushing the limits to produce some new and exciting images.

Ok...enjoy, and feel free to let us know what you think we'd love your feedback!

The Switch.

So it finally happened. When I first met Larissa she was all about the Canon cameras- there was absolutely no convincing her otherwise. That is until last month when her main camera broke down and she decided to replace it with a Nikon.

Why? Maybe it was the beautiful industry leading high iso low light capabilities of Nikon's new FX CMOS sensor. Maybe it was the usability and efficient design of the Nikon bodies. Or maybe it was the new Multi-CAM 3500FX autofocus module, producing tack sharp photos in almost any lighting condition. Or was it the incredibly accurate and reliable Nikon remote speedlight system?

Or maybe she just wanted access to my vast selection of awesome Nikon lenses. Maybe all of the above?

So its been an exciting month of buying her new Nikon cameras and lenses. We've actually had a lot of fun selling Larissa's pro Canon gear. We've met a lot of really cool photographers from the area and our coffee shop meetings have turned into hour-long photography discussions.

We still have some Canon odds and ends for sale if there is anyone interested, as of now she still has an older Canon body left and one of her L series lenses. Everything else sold incredibly quick.

Needless to say, it's been taking up a lot of our free time this month, along with getting caught up on editing, shooting weddings and engagement stories. The blog has kind of been neglected, but I promise you'll see some good posts very soon, with lots of new photos that we are very excited about.

Alright. Cheers - Trevor
